- I have been continuously Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar since 1983. To become Board Certified by The Florida Bar:
- You must have tried a significant number of jury trials;
- You must be recommended for Certification by your peers and a number of Circuit Court Judges before whom you have appeared; and
- You must succesfully pass a rigorous written examination.
- Recertification is required every five (5) years. To be recertified:
- You must have tried a set number of jury trials in the preceding five years;
- You must have completed fifty (50) hours of (continuing) Legal Education in those five years; and
- You must again be recommended for Certification by your peers and Circuit Court Judges.
- I have personally, successfully, handled a wide variety of medical/hospital negligence cases since 1972.
- I am a member of The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), serving as President of the Central Florida Chapter in 2000 - 2001. ABOTA is a national organization of trial lawyers open by invitation only.
- I am a long-time member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. A national organization of trial lawyers who have successfully obtained jury verdicts in excess of $1,000,000.00 for their clients.
